Barry Douglass is Senior Research Analyst at
Laurel Grove Capital. He brings to the firm many
years of experience in equity research as well as
expertise in portfolio strategy and management.
Barry holds a B.A. in Economics from California
State University, San Diego. After receiving his
Master of Science in Administration, with a specialty
in Finance, from the University of California at Irvine,
he began his investment career as an equity analyst
with Pacific Mutual Life Insurance Co.
He left Pacific Mutual to join Hughes Investment
Management Co. where, except for a two year period
at ARCO, he remained for 16 years. Since then he
has been affiliated with Douglass Investment Group,
Gilpin-Castelli Management, and previously Laurel
Grove Capital.
Barry is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a long-time
member of the CFA Institute. He was previously a Trustee and Chairman of the Board of Berkeley Hall School. His community involvement currently includes serving on the Board of Asher House L.A.
